Welcome to Bearsgreatescapes Ltd
Established in 2006.
After working for Moo Moo Ltd run by Hamish Lothian, an early pioneer of vending tricycles in Worcester. Then Hamish decided to relocate to pursue a new venture as a landlord. He now owns the “Fat Pig” and “Rusty Bike” four of Exeter’s finest pubs (email links)
The opportunity came to buy a bike and set up in Priory Park, Malvern. In 2007, we approach the district council about paying a licence fee. We want to pay for trading most beautiful parks in Worcestershire. Since then it is one of the few ice cream licence in Malvern district council area. In was in the same year that we changed the livery to our distinctive cow print design and gave names to our bikes, now we have a herd!
In 2009 we were successful in establishing the first High Street, Mobile Street trading licence in 25 years by Worcester city council. We are still there and one of the only tricycle companies on a high street in the UK.
To expand we needed a new tricycle and we explored what was available in the UK and across Europe. The ones we found were badly designed and poorly built. So we started building our own, made in Worcestershire with all components sourced from local suppliers.
Our companies guiding principles, are a first rate great customer service, a great local produced, we only sell Bennetts of Lowerwick a family business who have been making ice cream for 30 years. To be an environmentally focused business.
We hope you enjoyed this brief history of Bearsgreatescapes Ltd (so far) and will find to come and find us on the streets or in the parks of Worcestershire. We want you to enjoy the finest ice cream from the shire and our hospitality comes free.
